Liking the brushed aluminum gear selector To me that looks a really good and well thought out spec, regards the hi fi , im not a hi fi lover really but in my 987 i had bose because you couldn't really hear the stereo with the roof down? Had thought about the sports exhaust but the demonstrator was pretty loud without it. Was pretty tempted by a late GTS but I guess I want what I want. They are giving me a 718S to try in a few weeks. In my opinion on the 718 the sports exhaust doesn't work like it does on the 981, its really drony and started to annoy, of course with roof down its not so bad.You really need to try before you buy on that one? The things that would swing the Bose for me are two fold: 1. The Bose (unlike the lower specs) has speakers behind you. That makes a big difference, especially if you fade the front/rear to be slightly rearwards. 2. On the 718 (unlike on my 987!) there is a DSP mode (I think it's called virtual surround) that makes a very big difference to,the sound. I would not consider a 718 without! Happy Days Posted April 2, 2017 Report Share Posted April 2, 2017 The S is truly magnificent. I'm just back home from a blast around the Mourne Mountains with the roof off, heated seats and heated wheel on. It's superb, sport mode really adds an added zest to the performance. What you need is a rear boot liner Ive done the Zunsport grilles, not very prominent, i think the GTS intakes looks much better with the Zunsport grilles.
