iborguk
Hi, I found the attached screw near where I park my 987.1 on the drive. I'm wondering if it's off the car and if anyone has a clue from what ? Has a plastic head with almost a locking wheel nut style appearance - although it's much smaller. Almost looks like it should be holding some trim together or cover ? Also has the letter C on it. It could of course be completely unrelated to the car. Appreciate any input , my first forum post so please be gentle ! Many Thanks
iborguk
Sorry head isn't plastic - some kind of thin alloy. Mate suggested it could be for one from one of the under trays but none of the schematics I've seen show something like this.
Gutley
I found on my car that at some point someone had replaced some of the undertray screws with non Porsche ones, probably whatever they had handy. Small independents and places like Kwik fit have a lot of random screws around.
Jason986S
It looks like it could be an undertray fixing of some description. Especially as the threads are soo rusty too
iborguk
@Gutleyand @Jason986S Thanks yes - always possible somebody put something random fixing on the car. Might ask the OPC I bought the car from if they know what it is Again could be unrelated to the car but bit of a coincidence it's near where I always park it. Nick_McUK
That looks like the screw that holds the coolant hoses to the radiator frame in the inside of the wheel arch. Only say that as I currently have my 987.1 apart to swap out a dead cooling fan on the drivers side
iborguk
@Nick_McUK thanks although I think similar but different. Head and end of thread look different. If you've got a photo of yours (at least the head) that would be interesting to compare.

iborguk
So found an empty screw hole near a broken bumper tab, so suspect this came out of some random attempt to deal with that. I've now implemented a much better fix for that but I think I've got to the bottom of "screw gate" 😀
