s_pply
Caymans definitely going more than Boxsters. You would think that with everything going on prices would be dropping but these cars are actually selling like hot cakes! Prices have stabilised and stock is limited. It's actually more of a sellers market at the moment.

And I've had it for about 3 years now and it's perfect. Everything as you'd expect it to be and runs like new. The mechanics at the porsche centre where I get it serviced keep smiling when the see it - it's so tidy and well maintained - never any trouble. Someone more knowledgeable than me once said that these cars tend to have more owners than others as a lot of people buy them not knowing what to expect and find they can't live with them day to day so change them for a Golf etc. Not unusual apparently. But I know these cars and am on my third and have probably owned this one longer than any of the other owners of it - zero intention of selling yet. yes more owners will affect value, yes it's strange, but if it's fully maintained and warrantied then my experience is go for it. Remember most of the 987.2's will be at least 9 years old now too.

Remember most of the 987.2's will be at least 9 years old now too. thanks frozen, and all sensible advice - the car in question is a private sale, so no warranty, but it has been fairly well maintained and had all of the major stuff done apart from the clutch and a suspension refresh - its been a 'daily' which in some respects is great, but its by no means been cherished by its current owner - apart by the normal rusty wheel nuts, grubby wheel arches, centre console and kick plates all a bit scuffed and the seats/steering wheel in need of a good clean and nourish - all stuff that is no issue for me, but as its a bit rich price wise (£12,800), especially as a suspension refresh and clutch could be best part of £1.5k when required, it's kind of preventing me from pulling the trigger it always worth a low ball offer, but i shall need to decide - if i was getting at the £10k/£10,250 then i may go for it but as i think the seller is really looking for about £12,500, then it just may not happen - oh and its only MoT'd until Feb, so will need an MOT too, which could through up rusty brake pipes as these have yet to be done on the car

Glosrich
I did front top mounts, tuning forks, track rods ends and an alignment for £1k at a specialist. I reckon coffin arms are about £500 a pair fitted, but mine were ok still at 56k miles. There was a bit of clunking from the rear which was probably the top mounts. This is where these cars get pricey, unless you DIY. Those prices were from my 2009 Gen2 Cayman.
