Yes exactly all that, £450 back then seems quite a lot of dosh.

It was the same for VW around the time of the Mk5 Golf based cars, cruise could be done for a £90 stalk and coding (some didn't even need coding) when as an option it was £2-300.  Options pricing is partly about desirability as well as pure cost.

New Porsche Boxster £28893.16

Arctic Silver/ black hood 634.04

Boxster Red 2387.23

Lux Pack 2429.79

Silver Roll Bar 295.32

Aluminium Dials 363.40

Aluminium gear shift/ handbrake 417.02

Sound System 319.15

CDR-22 CD Radio 80.85

£6926.80 in extras then -

Plus 17.5% VAT.  At 6268.57 gives a grand total of £42088.9

it was a Silver Wedding present to his wife who was obviously worth it.

Seems odd that on my 2003 price list the starting price is the same as yours on the 2000 price list, but the other models are cheaper in 2003 than 2000? 🤔
