cozzykim
The take up jerk between foor off the brake and onto the throttle from stationary in my car is annoying me, it's especially bad when moving forward slowly in traffic (my wife thinks it's my fault) and I'm thinking that a PDK calibration might help, (strangely, it's a much smoother take up in sport mode, and doesn't grab/jerk at all). Is it better to ask someone like MLR Porsche (local-ish to me) or is there someone around Uttoxeter/Stoke etc with PIWIS that might be able to do it? Thanks. Lonewolfgjp
I think there is a PDK reset procedure you can do yourself. I m sure I did it on my last one, I found a guide on YouTube. It is supposed to reset it back to factory so it can learn your driving style, it may help

Happy to be schooled mind. I'd also start with getting the car read on PIWIS rather than jumping straight to a calibration. Sorry, probably me being stooopid as usual, but I don't know what that means? EDIT: I found out what you meant by searching 'reset PDK' and I'm right, I am stupid.ย ๐ I've just been told by a specialist company that all PDKs do this, and that they have to be careful when moving PDK cars around the workshop for this reason. Apparently, it won't do it in sport mode because the initial revs are slightly higher. Edited June 6, 2023 by cozzykim

Where as in sports it's already dropped to 1st so you don't get the jerk?
Richard Hamilton
Not calibration, but I updated @Patt s PDK software a couple of weeks ago, and he seemed to think it had cured this issue.ย It took about an hour, as it programs the PDK, DME, and Instrument Cluster (why?) with the latest software. daz05
The reset procedure worked on my friend's car, he was complaining about the shifts after it has sat for a long while in lay-up and it worked! cozzykim
Just been outside and followed the instructions. At first and, as is usual for me, I probably overthunk it and turned the fan speed to OFF as well, so that the red light on the switched off air con went out. I thought that this might defeat the process, so I did it all again. Let's see how it goes...
Patt
indeed Richard - fixed that issue and a very smooth box ever since..if only one of the OPC that had worked on it had updated it when they should have ! Much appreciated for your help, now need to talk to Cobb to get that talking to the PDK too.
