Is this foam accessible from below so the vents don't need to be removed?
-
Possibly the hood was lowered when the plastic was too cold. It might polish out using a plastic polish e.g for visors.

New window fitted and lock working perfectly now...only issue is the window regulator has now started screeching which it didnt do before.
Bit of broken glass lodged somewhere it should be?

You could try a solar trickle charger. Solar panel outside the garage, car inside.

Last Sunday was the last time I used both.
The car and remote go to sleep after a period of IIRC 5 days. It could be that your car needs waking up but because your lock is broken (as suggested by @TROOPER88) you can't access the car to wake it up by putting the key in the ignition.
I had this issue and had to unstitch part of the plastic rear screen to access the cabin and ignition with the key taped to the end of metal rod. Fiddly but I managed to turn the ignition on and off to wake up the car and then unlock it with the remote.

How long ago did you last use the car and the remote?

What a fantastic outcome. That's class!

@Stuart21UKcan you mount a machine gun on the roll bar?
Would it then be a pea shooter?

What dimension is tight ? The 987 doesn’t have a spare wheel - and that made the difference between a Brompton fold up bike fitting between a 986 and a 987.
The width. The front boot opening tapers, it is just 78cm but that is towards the cabin just in front of the spare wheel. However internally it narrows again as bulkhead bits (where the boot light is) intrude so even with the spare wheel removed the internal width is less than 78cm. I don't think that trolley would fit my car (if it were a box it certainly wouldn't) but it might a 987. It would need a trial fit to be sure. However, a £150 trolley replacement would solve any issue.

I'd be confident of the bag even if it meant taking longer clubs out, it's the trolley in the front boot I'm not certain on.
Depends on the trolley type. As above I have a Powakaddy C2i which fits as did my Powakaddy trombone push trolley. My fold in half pull trolley would not fit the front boot but, with the wheels removed and stowed in the front, the body of the trolley would fit in the back with the bag. Bit Tetris though - you'll not be first to the 19th!

@Boxob has commented before.
Certainly fits a 986. I have a Powakaddy tour bag with full set of clubs, shoes, and golf balls in the rear boot and Powakaddy C2i in the front boot with enough space to spare for overnight bags.

Welcome.
We have an electric car forum. It would be interesting to learn of your conversion from apostle to cynic!

It's handy because I have a solar charger that I can plug in if the car is not going to be used for a while and that keeps the battery topped up. Leave anything else in there and in about 3 days the battery is too weak to start the car.
Although mine holds its charge I bought a solar charger to plug into the lighter as a precaution. Never been able to use it!

I guess the 1997 has a permanently live cigarette lighter socket.
Interesting. Mine (1998) is ignition switch controlled. Wish it wasn't!

OK. I'll write it up in the next few days, if @ATM you can review and comment once posted please?
Excellent. Can you include contact details (address, email, phone no.) for the authorities and organisations involved?

I've got two metal plates inside my phone case,...
What about swapping those for a thin disk super magnet?

Cabin and air filters changed. Checked rear drainage holes, clear, and cleaned and greased hood mechanism.

Fitted frunk and boot gas struts from Frazerparts. Easy half hour job. Wish I'd done it a while ago, it would have saved me a few headaches!

Probably easier if you say where you are and see if there are any BoXa members near you with the delete kit fitted. You could then take your own measurements.

6'1" and comfortable immediately. Have sports seats (with the wings) and lower console delete (from factory) which I've since learnt on here gives more leg room.

My experience is 986s but probably applies to 987s! Heat shields come lose due to corrosion. They give a tinny rattle when cold, at idle, and when slow moving. When the exhaust heats up the metal expands and the rattle often stops.

As above but it could be the MAF failing which I don't think shows a code. Simple check though is to inplug the lead to the MAF and see how it runs. It usually won't be perfect but if the stalling stops that's a strong indicator.
(Caveat: Advice for a 986 but should be applicable to a 987)
Dreaded rust spot near passenger engine vent.

I have had the N/S vent out to desnorkle. It's not so easy and I snapped a tab ☹. I was hoping for easier access. Is it not accessible even if the wheel arch liner is removed?
