2019, 2020, then 2022 look at mileages, 2019 is higher than 2020, then 2022 is higher than 2019.

To me it just looks like the tester has entered the wrong mileage in 2019. The rest are in order. If the owner has not spotted it at the time (a lot of people wouldn't) then that would explain why its not been checked.
Given the low mileages covered over the recent years it would not bother me.

I do not think its a big deal, its not like its showing a massive mileage difference but I do like to take chances.

Its an 18 year old car with some very desirable extras at an awesome price.

You have put links up for older cars at 140,000 miles for more money as well 😆 I am not sure what you are looking for the car to be for sub £10k

That is £1k more than that 987S with 40k miles more.

I am beginning to think you are just posting links to every Boxster for sale regardless of what it is 😬

  3. We are to believe its done 1,000 miles in the last 10 years?

Not worth that money, the wheels are ropey for a start which is an indication that its not all that

I have a 2003 986 and I'm sure the service book states service intervals of 2 years or mileage schedule ?

Correct... my point was that the advert says it has been serviced yearly, and then states there are 12 stamps in the book (which would be correct for the intervals but clearly would not cover their previous claim of yearly servicing)

but it doesn't drive like a Mazda  🤣

Ahh I did not read the advert properly so I missed that bit of total b*ll*x.... do people really fall for this sort of shyte? Yes, all Boxsters after the 986 are inferior... what a tool

This 986 car is leaps and bounds ahead of the newer models, the new
latest new cars feel like Mazda's

  6. Advert contradicts itself a  bit "This particular 986 is in very good order, lots of recent maintenance and consistent yearly
    servicing"

    "Full Service History 12 Stamps"

Unless we are living in 2013 that does not add up

Well I've driven this one, it's fully loaded, got full service history, short shift gearbox, outstanding. Roof has a slight discolour about it, the advisories are a concern. Is it worth getting an indipendant check, he is more than happy for me to do that. Was thinking about offering 8k, needs new front tyres side walls are cracked.

With that spec at that price with full history, its a bargain as it is.

I can and do live without heated seats and I'm a southern softie...

That said, my daily has them, and heated steering wheel, but were standard fit not an option I ticked.

your 987.2 has heated seats and heated steering wheel ;)

  9. If it was me I would be paying the extra 2k for the more modern car with active suspension, better lights, heated memory seats etc etc.

Having owned a 986S and a 987S 3.2, it is a world of difference, a much more modern place to be.

    Horses for courses though

  10. Nothing much to report. Car has been performing perfectly #standard. The new Yokohama tyres on the front are nice..but then new tyres always feel better than worn out ones.

Will give the glass a clay bar tomorrow as I forgot when I did the rest of the car. Thanks to @Mattman42 for the reminder. Might give it another coat of wax too while I am there.

Got the confirmation from my useless insurers that the claim was settled. When I logged on the portal I see they have charged Aviva £2,150 for dealing with the claim. Bit rich considering Axa did 'uck all really, I should get that money.

Anyway, washed it at work today so here is a quick pic...

In pics 31 and 33 on the AT listing, do the doors look a different shade to the wings?

Looking at all the external pics, it looks all the same colour to me, always hard to tell in pics online though.

I just got a call from the guy, he does not think any of the advisories have been worked on, he would not take row £100 deposit, he did say there is a little room in the car to negotiate a price, but then most salesman say that.

At that price I totally understand it.

The fact he wont take a deposit without you seeing it makes me think there is nothing really to hide.. If it was me in your situation, I would be going to see it asap.

  13. Brake pipes may well be just grease to stop them corroding.

The shock I wouldn't worry about as it sounds like a dent in the casing.

They say its 9 months MOT on it, but its actually 6. General MOT history on it is not bad. It has not covered a lot of miles in the last few years thats for sure

I'm going to call him and ask if they would take 100 quid to reserve it, I really do like it. I'm  not sure I'd get back in time for work tonight lol its 200 miles away from me.

For the money the spec is great. He has said its full leather, its not... its extended. Full leather is the dash as well.

They also are not full electric seats, just the standard elec pack. Shame they replaced the exhaust as I bet it would of had PSE as well which is handy for when you do not want to be loud.

A lot of desirable extras though for sure.

Ask for the reg number so you can do an MOT history check
