had my MOT, passed with nothing to do and no advisories. Question is, is the garage p*ssed off about that?
No reasom they should be if they're honest, which presumably they are.

Nice work Peter. Looks good 👍
Thanks Al. Yes, happy with results.

Uninstalled my Stone Grey centre console and fitted a 'new' one painted body colour i.e. Atlas Grey. Went for stain lacquer so quite subtle, especially compared to bright primary colours.
Very happy with results. Going to put a more detailed write up in one of the console threads. Still considering whether to paint the dash trim in similar fashion.

Uploading pics onto this site is a proper drama !
You need to use Imgur or Flickr to host then copy/paste the URL into your post. Easy when you get the hang of it. If i can do it anyone can!

Had a go at removing a small ding on the frunk lid, close to one edge. Double skinned in that area so would need a PDR professional to push it out from behind. Watched various Youtube videos including
Bought a puller and various tabs off Ebay; already have a hot glue gun.
First stick a tab to the ding
Apply the puller
Apply some pressure to the lower lever to pull the tab upwards.
Practiced on a larger dent on the Skoda first and was very impressed as well as being reassured by lack of damage to paint work. Less successful on Boxster so far, possibly because metal is tougher and/or because ding is much smaller. Think i will make up a lined board, as used in the video, to aid placement of the tab before i continue.

Yes servicing these things is very rewarding and quite affordable doing it yourself for the premium you are charged just for a stamp in a book. Receipts time line and mileage are more than acceptable in my book for something 10 to 15 years old.
Agreed. Would like to 'learn' how to do more myself, partly for the satisfaction and partly in order to save labour costs making it more affordable to improve stuff e.g. suspension upgrade.

Jack and stands. I probably didn’t need to but I lowered the car as it was draining. I left it for a couple of hours before continuing.
I got just short of 8L in there so must have been pretty empty. Id partially filled the filter housing with oil too which is a nice thing about having the filter in that orientation.
I filled it to the second line from the top then left it. Parked it on a flat part of the drive then then next day checked it again and the level hadn’t changed so put a very small amount more in to get to the very top bar on the gauge. It’s good doing these things yourself so you know it’s been done.
Thanks. Very comprehensive ! 👍

Oil service this afternoon. Very straight forward. Hengst filter and Mobil 1
How did you lift the car? Just jack and axle stands?

Swapped my dodgy coolant cap for a new '04' one and added about a litre of Porsche coolant/de-ionised water following the loss on Sunday's Exmoor run.

£5 ebay led sidelights are fitted and work for the moment. Also my hood elastic was elastic no more, fixed that. The headlining behind your shoulder doesn't fit in the frame sitting outside of it, there is some elastic but it pulls downwards any ideas how I sort this?
My lining doesn't sit where it appears it should either. Same on both sides so have assumed that's just how it is. More important that hood sits in the frame outside as you already found.

Have seen them at the NEC in 2018 i'm not surprised the Boxsters haven't all sold!

Taxed it and went for an Italian tune-up, sorry gentle drive, down to and along the coast. Was supposed to meet up with a former Porsche owner and peruse his recently acquired McLaren but sadly he couldn't move it due to a faulty warning light!

@TTGator nice set of videos but one tip: if you're going to stick around here you really need to get those centre caps correctly aligned with the valve! Otherwise the BoXa police will be after you!
Wonder if it's as hot where you are as over here? 23 degrees C here today.(you'll have to work out the equivalent F!). 10 weeks wall to wall sunshine during lockdown

Generally looks great except the bottom wheel in the last pic - looks like a rusty weight and a line/join in the paint. Is that a 'before'? Interested as planning to take my winters there if I ever get to visit my Mum again, who's in a care home in Manchester, and have to pass by Brum.
