    Yes.

the problem seems to be associated with having the phone also paired  to the car Bluetooth,

delete  phone pairing on the pcm and simply  use  phone via carplay

I had this problem with the Isudar board. Still had it paired with PCM:axehead:

Should probably have dropped you a DM. I wasn't sure if you had one or not already.

Love the idea of it after seeing the Henry Catchpole GT4RS video on YouTube looks ace

No its fine, thanks for posting. A friend of mine has a Manthey tweeked GT4RS, I managed about 3 passenger laps and it caused my internal organs to move around.

Moonshine, I don't think I would notice the little +/- , I have never really looked at the original that closely 🤔

  3. I'm back next week for my second back box replacement under warranty but this is for valve problems. I would say yours is easily claimable as long as there no impact marks but it looks like it was just poorly welded.

A bit more relevant to this thread,

What would happen you put a copy of  SSD made from one pcm into a different pcm to replace a corrupted  / failed PCM HDD?

Would it work? Or would the fact the SSD was made from a HDD tied to another VIN mean it would not work?

I've not read the whole Rennlist thread but it seems swapping hard drives can cause problems. Post #8 is interesting though, he ran the update disc and his cloned drive worked.

  6. On the original 'My Porsche' App I had the build list of my car but it was updated and now tells you nothing. But I think you are right then I have a CDR+ system in my car.

It is basically the same as a PCM 3.1 but lacks the hard drive. The front panel and rear connections are exactly the same as a PCM 3.1 and it has a higher output then the CDR.

    Well researched @Jon61👍

  7. @Jon61 Yes the car is Dec '14 GTS and it does have the Aux/USB in the glovebox & DAB

When I removed the panel for the hard drive I seem to remember (2021 I did this) there is no facility to add one if I got a cloned unit.

  8. It is a PCM 3.1 unit on V4.73 software but no nav, phone, or jukebox. It does have sim slot but I presume it does nothing.

I was pulling it apart anyway to install an Isudar AA/Carplay board in it, but was surprised about it not having the hard drive.

It looks  like he has bought a later wheel, from a Macan or 718 perhaps, sent it to Royals Steering wheels for a refurb too most likely

Maps question is more how is the later steering wheel fitted as steering shaft is actually smaller on a 986. I hope Zagamuffin didn't just use to big washers😂
