Offset has nothing to do with tyre fitment !

Offset is basically where the centre of the wheel sits.

GTS has the same 20" wheel as the 981, ie 20x 10 on the rear with 265/35 tyre.

Some of the wheels offered for the 718 are 10.5J on the rear ie Turbo style and Carrera sports. Same tyres size though 🤓

After lots of deliberating I’ve actually gone with a 10mm all round approach

I might go to 10mm on the front as they are then hub centric, the 7mm are only flat spacers so the wheel is locating on a smaller amount.

@RBD914 v2these are the make of front spacers I used.... Fleabay. Don't get the cheaper ones as they are not collared bolts.

Hi Tony, Can you share pictures of your car with the spacers fitted please?

Hi Rob, I will have to check the fronts but the rears are Eibach which bolt to the hub and then nuts to hold the wheel on. No noticeable change to handling but then again I fitted them pretty soon after buying the car. I had a session round Oulton Park with some GT4 friends and kept up with there pace.

    With spacers:-

I'm not sure of my wheel size on the rear, I think some are 9.5" but the sports techno's on a GTS's may be 10" wide. Tyre size is the same for both.

    Checked today and my rear wheels are 10J x 20" ET50 compared to some S wheels which are 9.5J x 20 ET45

OPC will only replace when they can see it isn't working, even though it's an intermittent problem!

I had this last year with the OPC but the service manager also mentioned to try and get in the habit of using the de-mist button weekly to run the fan at full speed, since then I've never had it stick

Wheel wise, I'd probably prefer the GTS wheels but the ones on it are also nice.

Is there a GTS wheel? Mine has the sports techno's and the RPM car has the Turbo style wheels. Also a bigger front brake kit added just in case you were thinking of getting a Porsche warranty on it

If it is the RPM car, it has no climate control, and I'm not sure about the brown leather steering wheel and dash.

I prefer an alcantara interior, it really elevates the GTS interior

But if you like it - then go for it!

I think its agate grey dash with pebble seats. Very nice combo but agree its not suited to the GTS

May I suggest a 718 steering wheel conversion next with PDK paddles? I'd like one for my car. I'm sure they use a VW Golf/Audi carcass so should be fairly obtainable.

Its funny I prefer the GTS's Alcantara steering wheel to the 2020 Macan we also have. It just feels a bit plastic

Diagram refers to two part (31)s depending on the GT4.2 car year (2019 onwards)

    981 331 275 00 cars <= 31.01.2021

    982 505 475b cars >= 01.02.2021 , "Brace", £110 before OPC discount.

So I think the diagram is showing the top part number for the older cars.

When I looked at doing this I surmised I needed parts 13 & 20 which is the 981 part number brace. Daz has fitted parts 16,17 & 20 which is the beefier set up on the 718. In the USA the people that have done this mod have also replaced the undertray (part 11) but drilling the original is also an option.

Daz does have me thinking though that the 981 part may only fit manual cars.

    Hi All

I was just starting to browse for a 987, I’ve been given the green light from her indoors to treat myself for Christmas!
ideally my budget is a max of £15000.

Seems to have a few nice bits on that with things like sports chrono and active dampers(PASM). Advert is pretty detailed as is the car... inner wheels look immaculate.

A 2005 car 3.2 is also the cheaper road tax bracket than the 3.4

It’s disappeared off eBay but I think this is the same one that has appeared on Facebook in the 981 GT4/Cayman/Boxster Owners UK Group 🤔

I groaned at the fact that there was another Faceache group I would have to join now, but surprise surprise there was another DSC controller on there for sale so I've bought it, not £450 unfortunately but still happy

I have a DSC controller, I like it.

Can you go into the software setting on your controller and select different (Porsche) vehicles? The V3 controller fits the 991 and 981 but you specify your model in the ordering process, can you alter it if you move to a GT4 for instance?

That's the gt4 upper brace you only need that if you have a manual i think. New they are around £120 used at least half.

So are you are using the brace that needs 2 extra holes drilling in the triangular bracing plate?

    1 x 982-505-475 (transverse strut)
    2 x 981-333-777-00 (bearing clamp)
    4 x 900-378-159-01 ( hex-head bolt 8x60)

    Looking forward to your vid👍

Video coming soon but the 718 piece across the anti roll bar brackets and a piece from a gt4 that ties the rear axle carriers together at the bottom.

What's the price and part no. for that Daz? Is it 981-331-275-80
