Im thinking of pushing the button on one For me it has sharpened up the whole car, the throttle response is better and it just seems to have more mid range grunt, I have nothing to back this up other than actually driving the car, weather has been bad, mines only a weekend car and I haven't seen a dry day on a weekend for a month! The have a 50 day money back guarantee, I'm not sending it back

Yes the fact that they offer a 50 day sale or return policy is somewhat reassuring so I think I'll push the button on this today.

Had a good blast today on some dry roads, positive it has more mid-range, the electronic throttle has definitely been tweaked by it as well. some bloke
Changed the heater blower - had problems with the old one not always working and it was starting to make pained noises. Half an hours work between rain showers got it sorted. It puts an end to this thread: http://www.BoXa.net/forum/topic/85131-dodgey-windscreen-demister-switch/

Boxob
Took it for its MOT. Another pass 🙂. Whilst I'd like to say I was quietly confident, because I know of no reason why it should fail, I'm always anxious as it's nearly 22 years old. I should have more confidence in it! Andy B
Been busy with the Boxster since buying it on the 29th Dec. Jacked up, had a good look underneath, no horrors found, spent a lot of time cleaning all the Ally components under each arch with a dremel and fine wire brush attachments, bead blasted the discs, replaced the pads, blasted and had all of the wheel bolts and 'bits' re anodised. Im now in the middle of restoring the wheels, tyres off, blasted, prepped, undercoated, painted, polished, just about to lacquer them. Service planned for late March, then tax and on the road Found the cable that opens the bonnet in the event of a flat battery by accident when I removed the off side reflector to replace it. Wheels More updates to come soon Edited March 3, 2020 by Andy B

Forgot to mention I've also had my dent removal guy round her, just teasing out a few little niggly 'dinks' All gone now. Scratch repair guy booked in for the 20th March

GmanB
Took her in for an MOT this morning... Passed with no advisories. Indie mechanic said she is well loved. Had window weather strips cleaned and replaced, regulator removed, cleaned and re-positioned. Auto up now working and no smearing of windows. Drivers side vent frame replaced, no more rattle! Rear mudflap/aero fins replaced as they were hanging off. Just needs to stop raining now!
some bloke
Good news wih the MOT Gman - I got one late January with no advisories. Made my day! Today my work building was occupied by protesters so I was sent home early. Which was nice... I have been waiting for a weekend with less wind and rain than we have been having, but today was lovely here in Embra. I got some misfire error codes a while back and an inspection showed a couple of cracks on the coil packs. Today I replaced the plugs and coil packs on my 986 - took about 2.5 hrs and didn't have any major dramas at all. The plugs didn't look too bad but now I know they are new. Then I took it for a top-down blast in the interests of research; wound it up through the gears and it seems crisper. That sound though... So a good day all in all.
myfirstboxster
Got mine back from D+G in Newcastle , they renewed the main front to back brake pipe , replaced the battered "spats" and found the annoying cause of the horn beeping when locking - turned out to be a bad connection to the radio cage
Stewart_H
Got mine back from my local specialist today with news rads and condensers. Whilst the bumper was off I fitted some plastic mesh behind the grills to hopefully stop the pesky leaves getting in there again! I put the now-working aircon on during the drive back home in the torrential rain 😁
Terryg
Not so much "what have you done today" more "what have you done this winter" Tubular manifolds, 200 cell cats, larger throttle body with 80mm inlet piping, BMC filter. Manifold and cats done together and a massive improvement in the way car revs, undoubtedly the best bang for buck of the mods I have done. The TB no doubt helps but less night and day difference and likewise the BMC filter. This car now goes and sounds like a "proper" sportscar. Nearly forgot I added a B.A.D. side lever to the SSK kit, this compliments the roller bearing kit fitted a few years ago, shift now as good as I am going to get it. Sanky
Took it for its MOT...failed for emissions, lambda sensor was reading a little high. Going to try some Cataclean and take it for a blast before a retest, only problem is that it has full tank of VPower in it. So not sure if the Cataclean will do anything. Cars been parked up for the last 4 months, so not sure if that has anything t do with it.

Tipster
Got mine mot'd, passed with no advisories. I've only done 1200 miles in a year... If I'm not driving it I always like looking at it.. 😀
