Ressurecting an old post I put on and at present I have the following:

1, Replace injector on bank 6

2, Fit Spoiler indicator kit that has recently arrived.

3, Get an MOT

4, In the next couple of months replace the front Subframe ( will explain why at a later date)

Whats on your lists.?

On our recently acquired Boxster fair amount done already but still to do:-

1. Change headlight levelling link in the suspension (seized)

2. Get front bumper off to have some blemishes sorted, and then respray.  New side grill inserts on shelf to be fitted, and then mesh behind them before putting back on

3. Check and clean rads and condensers whilst bumper's off

4. Paint manky brake calipers, and add new decals.

5. Paint bell end whilst doing 4 :o. (passes the time while the calliper paint is drying )

Nearly forgot:-

6. Look at repainting silver on Tiptronic gear lever as badly worn off.

1. Change clutch and DMF (parts already bought)

2. Change coolant expansion tank (preventative and easier whilst gearbox is out for 1.) (part already bought)

3. Replace ac condensers (parts already bought)

4. Paint front bumper and replace side grilles.

5. Get two spots of rust sorted - behind passenger door latch and tiny spot on top of one sill.

6. Replace boot lid as a previous owner closed mine on something tall and dented it.

7. Full service (parts already bought).

8. Save up for labour for 1,2,3 and 7!

Lots already done on my 550 but there are always more plans:

- fit Koni FSD dampers, H&R springs and adjustable top mounts

- trial fit and paint of Zeinwing

- 74mm throttle body and intake

- Fit GT3 brake ducts and new bonnet badge (bought about 2 years ago!)

- Re-core 100 cell cats (to 200 cell perhaps) and refit

clean throttle body

fit new ignition switch (had it a year now)

fix o/s window alignment to stop it clunking on closing and opening

polish green off of headlamps

replace rear discs and pads

refurbish rear calipers (seals, etc not cosmetic)

replace coil packs

replace n/s condenser

get rear bumper, rear o/s quarter, o/s door and front o/s front wing resprayed

refurbish alloys for the second time

fix baffle on PSE or replace exhaust

replace roof

fix gearbox selector leak (refurb, should get 2nd gear synchro fixed as well) - gulp

Believe it or not, this is a short list for me.  Last 3 will probably never get done.  Respray and second alloy wheel refurb are also unlikely too, but still thinking about it.

1. cure wheel shimmy at 70 plus speeds,

2. fit tyres this weekend

3. set fire to car if 2 doesn't cure 1.

And under braking?

Had this, changed front discs still there, changed rears - cured, I'd have put serious money on front discs out!

It look like that's the way i'm going to have to go with it. New tyres are on (which feel a load better) but shimmy is still there but not as pronounced.

Got the car back from the OPC on saturday morning, it had been washed but yesterday after the sun had melted the ice i was able to give it a quick wash over and use the 2 waxes purchased following recommendations on the winter wax thread

Harly wax, so easy to put on it doesnt feel like your putting enough on!!!

Whilst that was 'drying'

Applied 1000p high temp sealant/wax to the wheels

buffed it all off and car looked very sparkly, lets hope that offers some protection until spring!!! :)
