110k, no major issues, new clutch recently and RMS, ABS sensor fail, some plugs and coil packs, lamda sensor, otherwise wear and tear, drives and sounds great. Very very solid and trusted.

So I'm the winner so far, it's actually just turned over 181534.

And I can confirm the 2.5 Boxsters do go like stink.

I'm coming for your title! (easy @Terryg <_<) I hope to see 500k on my Boxster. If I average 15k a year that is only 26 years. I think I might even master the Strines before that deadline.

And yes, the 2.5 can move like a scalded cat!

Mines just clicked over to 131,000, and just gone through it's mot with no problems, changed coil packs last year, new break pipes, and drop the oil every 3000 miles. so far so good, still pulls really well.

143k miles and counting...

New engine at roughly 35-40k miles - IMS crapped itself by all accounts, therefore the current engine is only on 100k miles really

New IMS when I did the clutch at 135k miles or so. Old bearing had absolutely no play whatsoever. Looked new.

Did engine oil analysis at the last service came back 'absolutely no signs of engine wear whatsoever'. That persuaded me to refresh the 140k mile old sagging suspension and keep it for the foreseeable. This was further reinforced when I went and drove a new 991.2 then jumped in the boxster and it was every bit as good to drive with its new kit on. My god these cars truly are superb! :thumbsup_still:

I'm still racking up the miles guys, currently in France with the old girl, nearly hitting 183,000. I can't see anyone else even close to me.

174k+ miles close... but not cigar

Just putting new brakes on currently and waiting for a "new to me" hub from DValley to arrive today as one of the brake caliper threads was over tightened .. I wish people would use torque wrenches when tightening into alloy... anyway should be adding miles later this week!

I hope to get to that. Just racked up 1200 miles driving round France, loved it. :thumbsup_still:

Not a 986, but there is a gut on the Rennlist forums with a 996 with over 300,000 on his 911.

He also didn't know what an IMS bearing was. Simply awesome :)

He did a video of this if its the same one and then a month later he blew the engine up during a track day?

103,750. Had it for 3 years and bought it on 68k miles. In that time it has been used as a second car for mainly long distance road trips. It has been superb and only one (original) flat battery in that time. Brilliant reliable engine and exactly the same in that regard as the first 2 986s I owned. We talk about high mileage on these cars but most are still well under average mileage for cars in general. Then when we think how much better they are built than most regular cars. Wouldn't hesitate to drive mine anywhere. I have full AA cover with mechanical breakdown insurance, but have never needed it in a Boxster

I have 121k on my 2.7, nothing outside regular maintenance meaning 1 O2 sensor, and a service every year or 10k.  The oil level doesn't drop between services, it feels like a sweet engine so I hope it will last for many more miles.  I bought it on 99k miles.

There is a very small weep at one or two of the plug tubes apparently, so that will be done at the next service at Costswold Porsche Specialists.

It's my main car and am off across Europe to Italy in a few weeks so will add another 4k miles in August...

Should cross the 120k threshold on my way home from France or shortly after... sweet tight engine. Topped up the oil before departing for France. Keeping an eye on her, but she's no old smoker.

maf failed, but both previous Boxsters had same issue atropine same mileage. £20 for Douglas valley for one to get through the MOT is a small price to pay. Still gets 35mpg on tour with no maf.. has cut out three times on French sans plomb petrol though. See if it continues back in Blighty in which case, replacement maf may go in early...

I love the fact you are Euro-touring Mr Kaplan with no MAF, but a bottle of Martini....

Absolute hero. B)

Cheers, Baggers.

I love the fact I'm parked next to a cross between Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn!

But yeah, you can't be too precious about touring! Go with the flow. And the Martini does, indeed flow! No sensor required?

Ps. I nearly packed the Maf, but what's the point? It's not going to get worse once its been disconnected, right?

Did I mention I topped up the oil with Asda's finest fully synthetic? It's alll that was available before my early sail time. ????

You all need a bigger country in which to roam to get to MarcW's 325k plus miles daily driver with original 2.7 engine never any work inside it and original transmission. Poor bloke has a 911 turbo he has to use when the Boxster is in for servicing.
