WD on dull plastic?

The plastic between the bonnet and windscreen is quite dull on my 987 and I saw something about WD40 restoring it.
I did see a video showing it bursts balloons so assume it dissolves a small amount which suggests it might actually work.
I wondered if anyone had any experience of using it for this?

Did mine last year still looks good. Just make sure to buff it off before it goes sticky.

Thank you Jon, Is it necessary to buff it off or can it just be applied and left to dry? I watched a video where that is what they did - albeit that was on a less shiny plastic.

So mine was faded again and inspired by the thread I gave it a 20 min “glow up” with a wash and Polytrol. In my case I do “buff it” a little. Less is more with this stuff.

£6 with free del for 100ml sample pot, seems crazy not to.  Order just placed!

Applied to scuttle today and it has come up well.  Let's see how long the finish lasts.

Pow. Reading this thread for the third time and suddenly realising "why not?". Order in.

I re-did mine after 6 months. I paint it on with a slim paint brush. Very easy & very effective.

Just did mine with a small, flat art brush. Took about ten minutes to do the whole panel including the area under the bonnet. Looks 10 years younger.

Do they do a similar stuff for blokes?

Trouble is, even if I looked 10 years younger, I'd still look old! :)
