Stark9
Am sure it’s been discussed many times but what do we like putting in our cars? I always try to find Super Unleaded 99 Ron E5 - Shell or Esso (I believe Tesco have this too) BUT it says that’s E10 helps reduce C02 emissions but is less fuel efficient.  So are we price led or ensure we put the best fuel in our Porsche’s Edited December 26, 2021 by Araf
Davey P
I only use super unleaded in the Cayman, usually Tesco Momentum
rowbos
Momentum 99 is my usual fare, Shell Super if I can get it when out and about (no Shell garage anywhere near my home). Failing this any other brand of Super... standard unleaded is an absolute last resort...

Shazbot
Usually super unleaded , mainly of the Tesco variety although I'll use any brand Super Unleaded. Esso Synergy Supreme+ unleaded is actually E free in most areas of the mainland. E10 is obviously usable in our cars but ethanol is less calorific than petrol so the more they put in the less energy it puts out when burned so higher consumption. Keep it dead dinosaurs where possible!
Boyo
Only ever Shell V Power.
Malcolm E Box
Try Googling E10 fuel problems. Stay well clear of the stuff
iborguk
Esso Super or V Power. Failing those whatever I can get...
EXY
I live in N. Ireland so we have the choice of the following; Petrol or Diesel. I knew a local contractor who would when working in Londonderry (almost 100 miles) stick £20 worth of petrol then fill his van up with Diesel, swore it went mucho faster on the motorway
Nobbie
Standard unleaded for me. Never noticed any difference using anything else and it goes quite fast enough.
Stark9
Reading about E10 issues in the cold and seriously looks like it can cause problems. Not used normal unleaded so far in my car and don’t plan to
Paul P
Esso super (with 6p a litre off with the free fuel card from PCGB ) for preference.  And my 2 nearest stations are esso.  And one has a Greggs attached. ! then super anything then whatever I can get rather than walkng home.   I try to avoid supermarket fuel because I think they will push the edges on how much ethanol it contains and how little detergents. And I hate queuing for petrol.   i run the daily on esso e10 (1p a litre off with the fuel card) but will give that a tank full of super every now and again especially if I am doing a long (couple of hundred mile) run.  Edited December 26, 2021 by Paul P
CPS
I have noticed no difference at all in using e10 in my B9 S5.
Menoporsche
I have a fuel card for one brand that gives me maybe 40% off, so I use that. Normally 95, can’t be bothered to go out of my way to find 98, only about 1/5 stations have it.
brillomaster
Super unleaded for me. Not picky about shell or esso, its normally either sainsburys or morrisons fuel.

I was convinced by his testimony. The article you've posted will encourage me to visit the Esso station more often than I already do. Thanks for posting.
