Andy Mac
Hi all - I viewed this just before lockdown came into full effect. 140k miles - but drove nicely (in a car park) - lovely gearshift etc... Cosmetically tired and on winters (Mich alpines) etc .... but got the feeling the more mature lady owner hadn’t abused it over the 6-7 years she’d had it..... Went for under £7000 - what a great basis for a project that was.... I missed out - so fair play to who took the plunge - enjoy
PaulQ
Good price for a Gen 2 even with those miles

Bike Loon
If I was in the market I would have bought it. Owned 2 Boxsters with nearly 130k miles on that still drove like new. These cars can do mega miles, 140k is nowt
Ninesomething
I'd seen that when I was looking I'd have been extremely tempted. Half the miles ( and a lot more) you see them at almost double the price
Araf
Looks like mine isn't worth as much as I thought. I thought the above one would be a £10k car and that mine would be worth around £12k. I guess the Black Editions are all worth about £14k now.

K.I.T.T.
I have a suspicion it will make an appearance in the Members' Rides section, after it's had some TLC... Consensus in the top secret whatsapp group is that £10k is the target price for a 987.2 2.9 around 100k miles, as a base. But then looking at the prices of some 987.1s and what they're selling for, the market seems a little all over the place.

Pinewood
spend 3k and that car may be a tidy bargain. sounds way to low in my mind who knows what the service history is like and what provenance the car holds. on paper anything can look a bargain
Liberty
This is shocking and it’s a 3.4 s. I fear we will not hear the last of silly bargains like this in the short to medium.

If you're swapping cars then any depression in prices affects both selling and buying. Market fluctuations don't affect how they drive, just enjoy the cars for what they are. 🙂

mark-yorkshire
If the car was free of bore scoring then it was a good buy at £7k .
wolverinemac
A lot of this is to do with the mileage. Yes I understand that mileage should not be a big factor when purchasing a car. But it still plays a major factor with a lot of buyers. I for one would not consider a car with over 90K on the clock. As once the mileage goes over 100K the resale value is affected. wolverinemac
There's a lovely 3.2 2006 for sale with PASM, Chrono etc.. with 95K, if it wasnt for the mileage I would consider it. It does annoy me, that it affects my choice, but it must be from what my family/friends have been telling me for years and it is hard to change my old ways. Ah yes, a good point - Although even if it did have a wind deflector, I would have binned it straight away because I'm not a big girl's blouse (and have almost no hair anyway)
