Of course, but still a hefty mark up unless they did lots of work prior to sale. I’ take my chances with a private sale and bank the three grand for any unforeseen issues the warranty will only be three months my main issue would be them putting the price up by a grand after it was advertised. I know they can do what they choose as it’s their car to sell, but that goes against the grain for me Edited September 6, 2022 by And.rs1800
Ninesomething
Maybe it went through prep and they found a grands worth of work. My car had a lot of work done prior to sale inc new aircon rads and some other stuff I can't remember. Still say you can't buy that spec car for 12 privately. Unless you fall on a real bargain. Assuming there is such a thing these days. When I bought my first one - bout 3 years ago - that car would've been 10 grand tops. And it would've been on autotrader forever. funbobby
15-16k seems normal for a porsche dealer, got mine from mortimers and was in that ball park.
Ninesomething
This one looks pretty good. I probably would have been on this at the price https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202209059458077?postcode=nn156bu&sort=price-asc&include-delivery-option=on&advertising-location=at_cars&keywords=Pasm&radius=1500&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&model=Boxster&make=Porsche&page=1 Actually I wouldn't - no heated seats. Great price, I’d have bought it for the exhaust alone but the rest of the spec is decent too.
Angus76
The crazy 911 market is pulling the Boxster up in price too. The days of a cheap 911 have gone and for decent well specced and maintained Boxsters they are going to start the shift upwards.

Shame about the heated seats but seems good value for money, 20,000 less miles too. Shows how expensive the speed yellow one actually is! Bike Loon
That is an awesome spec for the money... maybe the front end paint job is not up to spec or something
Mattman42
Spec sounds good - although why say things like never driven in the wet - what a load of BS in the U.K. climate

Or was it given the once over with an oily rag. Having said that, I did have a car once that wasn't driven in the rain apart from getting caught out twice and again once in snow. Then again it didn't have a windscreen. Or side windows. Or doors.

I’d just overtaken that 911 just before Paddock Hill and I can remember laughing a bit to myself thinking “I’ve just beaten a Porsche in something I built in the shed”. Little did I know that the photographer chose that point to take a photo, and also that one day I’d actually own a Porsche myself. Seemed very unlikely at the time.

My current helmet is black which would’ve been far better looking.
