And of course I have to ensure the new clutch is run in properly so I shall drive it as much as I can I forgot to mention the roof which still needs to be adjusted so it works properly and turns out the warning light on the dash, clean the roof to get rid of some green mold which has started to grow at the bottom, install the OBD port properly and probably a bunch of other things. It seems to be never-ending with this car. The left speaker on the dash has an annoying pop and crackle which is (I think) related to the car's wiring from the stereo. I have checked and double-checked the speaker wiring for a loose connection, but it's not that.

On my list too, bought the Renovo dye about 6 months ago and it hasn't stopped raining long enough!
½cwt
Valeter at Dove House just said thorough clean and working in then wet vac out with diluted G101 from Autostart with a not too stiff brush. Did a small area with this in March to good effect, now to do the whole hood soon, then reproof. Milton works to kill off what's growing but it is not a cleaner as such, you still need to wash out the detritus. Once I have sprayed / washed the whole roof with Milton I'll go over it with the brush, then wash it all off and then Renovo. I did the Spider's hood with Renovo and it came out beautifully. I did the Renovo on the Boxster when I got it five years ago but haven't done it since then I think. Definitely time to do it again.
phazed
Completed my 74mm TB and 987 airbox install at last. Installation problems aside at this point, very pleased and it goes like a rocket.
fizz
Took the car in for a service and look over from local specialist before i take it on track in a just over a week. Handed over the service items i bought inc 10/50W oil, oil filter, air filter, and brake fluid and then told him about a knocking that just started to occur from the near side front on full lock. Now i was advised that the steering rack might be on its way out and presumed it was that getting worse... So about an hour ago i get a call from the garage saying that a couple of axle bolts had started to work their way loose! Thank god i took it there for the service and for them to give it a proper once over in preparation! Also mentioned that the brake lines have been replaced at some point in the past but one might need replacing again soon but said its no urgent. Not sure if that was just them looking for more work or if it was genuine but hey ho. Should pick it up tomorrow.
allatsea
Well yesterday, washed it after 1800 miles in 5 days driving (including 500 miles, Tunnel to Grenoble, before lunch on the first day) and a weekend in Nice (wife flew so I was master of my own destiny and how long I did each day). Route Napoleon (both ways, up and down) onwards to Monaco where they just happened to have set up the track up for the E-Prix, so foolish not to do a quick lap...... phazed
At last took my modded S for a decent run today. Pulls like a train through the whole rev range as opposed to before where it was weak in the midrange. Wouldn’t be surprised if it is running high 200’s bhp! Result…
Menoporsche
Could be that peak power hasn't changed but power curve is a lot flatter. That has been known with remaps.

Not yet remapped. Running on the 986 MAF tube but hopefully will be remapped with the 987 larger MAF tube soon. Get your point though. RedBarediver
Took out the graphite grey carpet and installed a black carpet. Looks really nice now. I'm still looking for the lower bulkhead carpet in black but the rest have all now been changed to black Lots of work but very happy with how it turned out. Tomorrow I'll do the starter and (finally) give it a proper wash.
DorsetWurzel
Fitted the OBC stalk, tried it with the dot matrix cluster and it all works, just need to get the mileage corrected on the dot matrix cluster. I've long been able to upload pictures, using Dropbox to host and then changing the last line of code from dl=0 to raw=1. This method worked on Friday, then the pictures disappeared on Saturday and now the pictures refuse to upload. Anyone any clues? Taken on a 'newish' iPhone 15, are they suddenly too rich? Rav
Finally removed the cigarette lighter from my boxster S. Replaced it with a USB charger with built in volt meter. I enjoyed the challenge and it kept me out of the way over bank holiday weekend. It was one of these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07L42W4Q9?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Slight challenge as this unit is quite long. I bought many years ago a dongle you stick in the cig lighter which from memory has 2 USB ports and it can't have been more than £2.50. I bought about 7 of them, and have half away to the family.
