Gutley
Update. Had several responses from mobile dent repairers saying it needs a body shop due to position and access. At least they know what they can't do instead of bodging it. Drove it this afternoon with no ill effects, so it's just cosmetic hopefully.

Boxstercol
Did exactly the same to my Mk4 Golf a few years ago... Felt sick when the jack slipped & it actually tore the metal of the sill. I knew someone who was a total perfectionist & ran his own bodyshop - he repaired it for a bottle of whiskey, it was a perfect job & still remains a perfect job. The damage was right on the jacking point & I always used to stress everytime I had tyres changed in case the metal was weakened & if folded when they jacked it up. I've not used a trolley jack since & on my 987 I use the jack from a 986 if I need to raise the car, its sturdy enough. I know it won't help how you're thinking but you will get it sorted & it will be as good as new.
RichRobby
What a coincidence. I have had the same thing, not quite so bad, fixed yesterday and today at a recommended back street specialist body shop for £130. They were going to grind down to metal, weld studs on and pull out the dent. Fill where need, respray the whole length of the sill and reapply the new stone chip underseal type stuff. Collect the car tomorrow. He said it will be perfect, lets hope he is right. A smart repair was going to be £185 and they weren't too convincing as to how good the result was going to be. Interested to see some photos for comparison.

Fill where need, respray the whole length of the sill tbh I own a bodyshop and its a straightforward repair and theres no reason that when repaired that anybody should be able to tell it has had work carried out

Gutley
The sharp-eyed amongst you may have noticed this photo from another thread but none of you spotted the absence of the dent? All sorted at Revolution this week. I'll try and post some close ups of the repair tomorrow.

the baron
Its an easy mistake to make, don't beat yourself up about it, it happened on a 356 I owned a few years back, as others have said at least its only bent metal and not broken bones. Patt
That new shop for Revolution came at just the right time for you Matt. I take it you were using a standard trolley jack? Get yourself a pad for the Porsche, or remind me nearer the time and I'll trade you my stainless one for breakfast @ Blackbushe - I can't get a normal jack under Molly due to the skirts. boxtaboy
So was Bondo (resin body filler) required for the repair (reshaping) of the sill that was mentioned? Repair looks good. Congrats.

Of course the wheels on the shoe car concept for the Boxster are but probably a bit bling for me. Do similar anniversary wheels ever come up for sale? edc
The Anniversary wheels are just Carrera 18s with the two tone paint.
