Was thinking of doing this but the Porsche Tequipment catalog no longer states a price. It was £2600 last year but since leaving the EU the prices have been removed and what with my recent purchase that had increased substantially I dread to guess the price now. Probably North of 3k. They didn't discuss prices... but my car is a non-PASM so I have discussed this with my Porsche specialist and will start with the rear anti roll see how this feels and then possibly look at the front but this is probably as far as I will go .

I wouldn't say it's really heart the ride, although with the 19" winter tyres its a tad bouncy at times. There is an special OEM alignment especially for the X73 kit - with or without sports chrono too. I had mine fitted in August by Revolution, although I would imagine that your issue now would be Porsche shipping the kit over the channel. Patt have to say I noticed even the roll bar on the really bumpy stuff up here but I'm running 20s. The push I get around tight corners on throttle makes me care not one bit though. That's interesting about the alignment I guess it's a different ride height so not all that surprising. It could definitely be an option to add some toe in at the rear with the x73 bar to tone down the effect.

I’m having a major service end of March at CPS as I really like the set up there and have been very happy with my previous experience even though it’s an hour or so up the road from me. Will probably talk to them about X73 set up or maybe like you I’ll just try the rear anti roll like you. Mine is also non PASM 👍
Patt
Remember the Techequipment price is "from" and is at OPC labour rates. I paid significantly less than £3k ! When I say bouncy as in too soft. I feel it is more suited to the 20" wheels. The difference in alignment is so much , my rears look like they need 20mm spacers now

What tyres you running? Could try a stiffer sidewall or even reducing the profile to that of the 20s.

I'll probably leave it at that.
Patt
MPS4S "N" so already have the stiffer side wall. The 20's are not the problem, its the winter 19's that are a tad bouncy on un even roads.

It's the earlier version that's lacking the hardware that yours has and won't update any higher.

Was there a PCM hardware revision so early in the 981’s life? Offer still stands if you want to try the DVD. 👍🏻

Mark Lane
I have the NMAutomotive unit in my 997 (with PCM 3.0) and the units that they supply are made by Unichip rather than Joyeauto. The appear to operate in broadly the same way however. (the NMAutomotive version was the only version I could find for PCM 3.0 at the time)

I fitted the joyeauto last year. It froze as soon as you asked it to do something. I needed android auto. Their technical couldnt help, kept insistng it was the cable. Having bought several it still didnt operate. Thanks again
mja986
Pretty sure mine is the earlier version of firmware, I have the nmautomotive CarPlay for pcm 3.1 in my 981, underlying product is unichip. As @Mark Lane says, the joyeauto product seems to do the same thing, has a pcb installed inside the pcm along with an external box of tricks connected into the pcm loom.
