Roger C
What the best product to use to get the scuttle panel back to black? I've used 'Back to Black' and tyre dressing and whilst it works it never seems to last very long so any more permanent solution would be appreciated. Thanks Rog. Menoporsche
Many here like Polytrol. You can request a sample pot from them for a few quid and it lasts forever.

Bike Loon
I used this on my scuttle panel and all the other plastic trim on the exterior. Brought it all up lovely and nearly a year later still not fading at all https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtechniq-C4-Revitalize-Discoloured-Unattractive/dp/B00IOMDUN0/ref=asc_df_B00IOMDUN0/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310493449173&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10988532427128351880&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006812&hvtargid=pla-470127168878&psc=1&mcid=fa2fe5b02c223ceaaa1d3707478cdbca

Not bad on a scuttle, worse on garden chairs, but to bear in mind.

Topbox
Not used the G4 but Polytol, gives a good bang for your buck and it's effect appears accumulative to my eye if the scuttle is badly faded.

½cwt
I have found the Polytrol good for over a year but not quite 2 years, basically it won't quite do two complete summers or UV here in the South Mids.

½cwt
1 hour ago, Bike Loon said: Done your wheel nuts yet? #Peopleinglasshouses #Oldoutyaaaaand Only 3 times in the last 5 years with silver Hammerite! Then I take the wheels off to do some work on it, so the sockets damage the paint, then they rust, so I paint them, then I take the wheels off..... and so the circle goes round. Oh that was aimed at @Mattman42 and is new avatar.

Arfur
Another vote for the gtechniq. I used it on all the faded black plastics 5 years ago when I got the car and I haven’t had to do it again. Car lives inside now which may help though.
