RalphyBMW
Big couple of days for mine; New stereo yesterday, plus an alignment at a local tyre place. Now part way through cruise & trip retrofit, “just” need to run the cruise wiring to the DME and hook up power…

Might have take a wee drive over to Norn Irn when I need a new set. 😀 I had priced them with Kwikfit (£435) and mentioned it to my local tyre guy - it’s a small operation but he does have some high-end clients and at least one Porsche Indy as a regular. I told him that I’d rather give him the business if he could supply them in or around that price and he came back with a quote of £395 with 2 days delivery. To be fair, he has had quite a bit of business from me in the past couple of years so maybe I was getting a good deal, although he did assure me that he was happy with this. Absolutely, Revolution can activate when it goes in to them in early July, unless I can find someone in West Yorkshire who can sort it sooner in exchange for beer tokens! ½cwt
Resprayed wheel bolts with Hammerite smooth silver. Good match but seems it needs to be done every spring unfortunately, that said I've had the wheels on and off several time since the last paint so maybe this time it will last better, or I might need to invest in some new bolts/ Already for a 3 day trip to the New Forest starting Monday. RalphyBMW
Diagnosed a failed cooling fan (swapped relays around with AC on). Next job to establish why there’s condensation above my header tank… This car certainly keeps me busy…

Looks like a pattern part, no part number on it. Had a little run out this morning, lifted up the cover over the bled valve and no condensation underneath so it seems most likely that it is the cap. New cap was already on my shopping list for the next OPC visit so hopefully no more surprises. 🤞🏻
½cwt
Visited MIL in Kent, 120 miles on A14, M11 & M25, then perfect antidote driving across South Downs to Airbnb over night. Saw 5 other Boxsters en route 2x 987, 2x 981 and a 718. 2 days in New Forest ahead.
S14
Nothing too exciting. Took the car for it’s first drive in a while, and it didn’t disappoint. Then gave the car a quick clean, ready for Beaulieu next Sunday.

some bloke
I sold it - I'm reverting to my true passion of US cars. I enjoyed my time with my 986, and feel I improved the car while it was in my care. Goodbye all.
