Happy Days
Noted lots of these type of threads, but none for the 718. Ordered new headlights for mine today to be replaced partly under goodwill following the crazing. Just in time for the warranty to expire. RickLS7
Here's a long thread about 981 sticking fan motors and how you can sort it yourself. Porsche's helpful advice is to the use the car more often! https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=231&t=1554693&i=

I noticed on a clear plastic measuring jug that it crazes when hot water is put in it. I was wondering whether the headlight crazing could be caused by washing the lights with hot water when the ambient temperature is low? We have 4 cars in the household, 3 cars led lights no cracking , 1 car halogen and cracking. I have also read somewhere about it too? Hi, Just read this after obviously some time, due to covid i have fair amount of time on my hands, The fan on my 718 (2018) model also stuck once, thought that was odd and was going to take it in but stopped for fuel got back in all working and never faulted since! is this also common or just stuck and that's your lot?? Graham W
Took the cover off the car and backed it out of the garage and then gave it a good polish with Swissvax. Looking gleaming now. Then decided rather than put it straight back into the garage to give it a blast to out local supermarket to grab some essential bits and pieces. Couldn't help but take the longer route home. How I miss driving this car!!
Scubaregs
20,000 mile/2 year service. Dropped it off this morning and got a Cayenne hybrid loaner. Amazingly quiet, lots of black leather and loads of toys and gadgets. Couldn't wait to get mine back. 😃. Not for me at all but Lynn would love it. Just got it back, dropped it in at 10am. Call half an hour ago apologising for the delay and driver would drop it off and pick up the barge, sorry Cayenne. Fixed price at £625, labour was £189 so no complaints there, I'm guessing this is where the fixed price helps. No "goodies" left, not even mints. Although they kindly left remains of the washer fluid and lubricating spray I paid for. Also left, which I also paid for, was a litre of unopened oil. Car has not used a drop in 2 years, 12,000 miles so that will come in handy. Nothing stored for the PSM fault showing the other day, service manager reckons just a blip, possibly due to low battery voltage. Car cleaned inside and out and tyres dressed. Obviously this was a minor service, oil, filter, brake fluid and cabin filters changed. Still happy with Glasgow OPC, however I will be looking at specialists come the next service as the car will be out of warranty, unless I choose to go the extended warranty route. I was outside as the guy reversed into the driveway. I assume he had the car in sport mode, and it's probably the first time I've heard my car properly as it was being driven by someone else. Exhaust note is definitely "bedding in" with time, I thought it had a nice deep burble to it which was pleasing to the ear. Mine at least and as I'm the only one that matters........😛

RoddyT
My wife is the same - insured but rarely drives it, which is fine by me! - My car is in at Glasgow OPC as well although I drove it to them and picked up the loan car.
