Would be interested to know if you notice a difference.

i didn't appear to have too much much build up in the pipes, but they do seem to flow a bit quicker than before. As long as they don't overflow, thats the main thing.

I don't have the grilles on mine - so they have gone walkies sometime in the past

My mistake, I thought you were talking about removing the snorkel from the air intake. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ahh - i've done that as well - I think its all pretty much a placebo effect to be honest - i think it adds a little more induction noise, more obvious with the roof up with the baffle plate removed, i don't think it makes any difference to performance personally, but it makes my inner child smile and thats worth it.

Best thing is you don't have to break anything, so you can put it all back to standard if needed

I usually try and avoid supermarket car parks in the Box, but if I do, I always try and find a space that minimises the chances of damage.

found one today on the end of a row and  despite what it looks like, I was just about within the lines at the front - this is a single row of spaces so they are a bit longer than usual 😁

Interesting that you feel more at risk from car doors than from moving traffic entering / exiting the car park.

It’s all one way there and slow so was hoping there was less chance of it being crashed into then having doors opened on it - its a lottery!

Had her MOT done at Lee’s at Cotswold Porsche - just needed a bulb for the left head light that went on me on Saturday night - so fingers crossed nothing needed until I bring her up for a pre track day check over - might bring the minor service forward by a couple of months and get that done at the same time so have new oil and change the brake fluid 👍

Costley day today.

X2 Goodyer Eagle at the front and stirring wheel from 'Royal Stirring Wheels'.

The old tyres were 2016 and had ~ 3.5mm left on them but 1 had a cut on the side wall and the other started to show cracks inside the threads, handling so much better now. The stirring wheel looks so much better and is more comfortable for my old hands to hold, shame that I didn't do it sooner, recommended.

Booked mine in for some TLC. Firstly a set of Conti SC7's being fitted, and secondly the crossover pipes being replaced. Its been using coolant slowly over that last few months and damp pipes were spotted last time it went for a service, I replaced the coolant cap with the latest part but there was no residue on the old one and its not made a difference, so pipes it is! What is surprising is the price difference I was quoted to replace them. 1 specialist quoted £1719+VAT while my local quoted £850+vat. Needless to say I've opted for the latter price! Near enough 2k for the tyres and Crossover pipes + some other small jobs, but its a great car that thoroughly deserves it

checked the tyre pressures, retorqued the wheel nuts, fitted the towing eye... trackday on saturday!

Good luck :)

Today, I received 4 callipers inc pads and 4 discs (job lot) for 390 quid. In my eyes that's a bargain and can now be sent off for refurbishment then eBay whatever remains!

It's certainly an expensive month 😂

Tyres are a lot more expensive being 19's Vs the price of 18's. Had to be done though, car is being used for our wedding this year and the road trip for the stag 🤩

Excellent. What track are you doing?

I’m a bit slack this year. Been working on a track focused 986 the last few months. Nearly finished…

Continental Sport Contact 7's fitted to my 987.2 S this morning. Huge improvement over the Potenzas it had before. Loads quieter, very progressive and loads of grip. Haven't tested them in the wet yet, but very very impressed so far.

Very interested to hear how these work out - they are top of my list for a road-going set of tyres!

I ran the SC6's on my 987.2 which have been discontinued for the SC7's but as per @fewtrees they're my next tyre. I had plenty of grip on my previous tyres and a wheel swap has me on a combination of rear Potenzas & front F1's which I am not keen on.

Went for a drive to the coast on dirty A & B roads, got the car filthy then washed it in the rain when I got home, in my defence it wasn’t actually raining when I got the jet wash out!

I put the car away in the garage wet then dried it with my new car dryer that I got for Christmas, not used one before but quite satisfying watching all the water disappear with no streaky cloth marks.
