Partly, yes, and it is improved. Also, my 19" wheels needed a refurb and that would have cost almost as much as these cost me.

Done that myself over the years, can save quite a few quid in the process

True - the price of those wheels is amazing! I paid £550 for the 18" (with tyres) and my 19" are on eBay and I got my starting bid of £300 within about an hour of the auction starting - still got a week to go...

I'm surprised none of the 3rd party companies don't offer something cheaper - best I could find was around £1000 just for the wheels (and they weren't very nice - needed £1400 to get good looking ones). My son just bought some nice alloys for his Golf GTi for £550 new. I know they're a bit smaller but not hugely...

Graphics

Won’t be everyone’s cup of Tea (Car needs a proper Clean) but I think I quite like it. I’ll grab some better pics when it’s brighter outside. But the Graphics tie the wheels in.

Picked her up from the friendly Oxfordshire based specialist today. This time crossover tubes were on the agenda. Bill shows 12 pieces changed and a couple of supports / brackets and ofc coolant. Came to just over 1K all in which I'm pretty happy with. Didnt get to enjoy a drive on the way home though as most of the roads around here are flooded 😔

And that’s why my 987 is still under a cover in the garage. Will this cr*p weather ever end!

Only any good if you are there with the Boxster - otherwise it's just wasted 😉

You've not seen Moroccan roads where there's been an earthquake in the recent past (Sept 2023).  My Jeep Renegade hire car is doing just fine here!  That said on some of the roads something like an Impreza or EVO would be mega!  Most definitely NOT Boxster territory though.

Checked the drain holes and noticed one of the ball joints on the hood mechanism had broke. They were also the white plastic type, I did this job years ago on another Boxster and remember getting the white plastic ones off Ebay.

Seems to be a lot more variety now though, some look 3D printed, or best to get Genuine ones?

Plastic ones off eBay are fine - do not buy the metal ones.

you probably already know, but put some tape around the base of the broken one, then you have a guide to screw the new one back to, so you can maintain alignment

The originals are only available with the “arms”. As @Mattman42 said don’t get the metal ones, these are designed to break when the roof mechanism is under stress. However they also break when the plastic is old and brittle.

Also check them arms aren’t bent when reinstalling.

Fixed my ‘Reduced Engine Power’ issue with my new Foxwell NT530 (great bit of kit apart from the vintage user interface).

Knock sensor bank 2 had been chewed by a mouse.  Wiring repaired, mouse being hunted.

As a bonus managed to code out the seat belt chimes and the auto-lock above 5mph.

Fixed the passenger window on mine today. Been catching since I bought the car 6 years ago. Finally made it to the top of the jobs list.

Thought it would need a new regulator but when I got into the door it had already been replaced. The window just hadn't been aligned properly.
