BBB
After being annoyed by the massive Porsche logo on my wind deflector for 12 months now, I finally realised it was just a sticker! It was so easy to peel off that I’m annoyed I put up with it for so long.

Bayernlarge
The DSC seems good so far. In normal PASM mode it feels more compliant over bumps. Less crashes and creaks. I haven’t driven it hard as it was cold and wet, so no view on how it performs as you push on yet. I put it in Sport briefly, which felt fine at lower speeds too. The best way to compare would be back to back over the same, familiar piece of road. But I’m not bothered enough to go to the trouble. So I pretty much agree with what others have said. There could be a bit of placebo effect in play, but so far I’m happy.
andy987
Sounds like a result, I’ve had PASM on previous cars and sport mode was unusable 😂 Anyway, just sent my brakes to BCS Automotive for a refurb.
gillbe
Fixed rear parking assist. Symptons: No beep on engaging reverse, then no warning beeps Checks done: Park Assist Fuse: OK; Reverse light: OK; Park Assist Module on iCarsoft analyser: Not detected !? Push passenger seat forward, unclip plastic cover in floorwell under seat and locate "Park Assist Module" 997.616.183.01. Removed connectors and unclipped the module (no need to remove passenger seat) Discover some green corrosion and rust on the power connector pins to the extent that pin 3 has completely disintegrated! That is the root cause. Open up module, cut, replace and resolder an unused pin to the pin 3 location. Check and rest of module components look fine, no visible damage. Next how to get the corresponding stub of pin out of the wiring loom socket? Easier than thought, as bank of socket pins slides sideways out of the holder , exposing the individual wired sockets. Unclip, pull out, remove stub and reinsert. Connect up, ignition to On, engage reverse and Bingo! all sorted !

Hopefully that’s a legacy fault, water under the passenger seat as a result of blocked roof drains is common and often the other module under the seat (rear control unit) takes a bath and then the roof and spoiler and rear lights have issues. Hopefully - no evidence of blocked drains or residual water. Did not look at the other module for reasons of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".... Del_tl1000r
Replaced both rear springs. Nearside was missing half a coil. Approx. 20mm height difference. Back to looking like a monster truck😆

944GS
Looked for the drain holes and cleaned them out with my recently purchased trombone cleaner 😀, that area around the battery certainly wasn't made for easy access!

Did you do the other two at the front? You have to take off the trim each side of the battery access to see them. You can buy little filters to protect the back two which give a little bit more piece of mind.

Pinewood
A couple of days off work. Sun was shining and so I went on a 40 mile loop of South Bucks to nowhere. It was great!!!

Just jacked up both sides of the front of the car to take the strain off the ARB. Used a pinch bar to lever up the bar enough to pull out the old ones. Apply a bit of grease to the new ones and manipulate them into place. Just awkward lying on the garage floor to take off the undertray to gain access to the bolts.

I took all the trim off but it didn’t go back together very easily, I think a previous owner has broken one of the clips. How many drain holes are in the front in total, I may have missed some, is there one in particular that leads to the electrics under the passenger seat getting wet? Where would I get find the filters for the back two? Edited December 9, 2021 by 944GS
BBB
@944GS there are four in mine at the front. edit: the rear drains are the culprits for damp electronics under the seat Edited December 9, 2021 by BBB
BBB
@944GS filters from here or any OPC. They appear on ebay, but are much cheaper from Porsche directly. They just push into the rear drain holes and a spring fitting keeps them in place https://parr-uk.co.uk/product/porsche-boxster-drain-hole-filter/

Hainesy
Picked the car up from the garage after getting towed home last Friday after the water pump shat the bed in quite spectacular style. Had it repaired by my local indy who did the pump and belt (but not the thermostat or tensioner?) for a pretty reasonable £370 all in. Annoyingly I thought I noticed a slight 'extra' noise in the engine the day before but dismissed it - at least I'll know what to listen for next time... It's off to a Porsche specialist AMS in Herts on Monday for MOT and to get a couple of other bits sorting so will get him to give it a proper inspection as part of it.
