So you went with the Numeric cables too?

This is a Rohler that I have fitted but same same

Qué?

Been toying with the idea of a Numeric shifter, or an OE 9x7 short shifter. Will have to have a nosey at yours on the next run.

Go with the Numeric/ Rohler (design 911) but not the cables really not impressed, to the point I’m thinking about ripping them out and going standard and biting the bullet on the cost, sure advertised in another media I will recoup some of my cost

Fitted a sprint booster. I had a lot of trouble getting the throttle pedal connector off so in the end I undid the pedal from the floor (only one phillips screw) which gave better access. I still broke the tab on the connector but it eventually came off.

It makes an immense difference to the throttle response, especially in the initial movement range. The car felt immediately more perky in Sport mode and positively abrupt in Race mode.

Many smiles on the way to Porsche Chester, with roof down, to sign up to the Classic Register.

I would imagine fitting an 'Under Drive Pulley' would sharpen it up even further.

Have done both with mine not sure if the benefits are totally tangible smiles per bucks the sprint booster is a defo, had  to lower the response down in mine, pulling out of well recognised  junctions to myself and applying the original amount of throttle. Found myself wheel spinning , like I’d been given a fictitious 100 bhp!!!

I suppose for truly intangible benefits you would have to brace yourself and name it with a 'Bally' in there somewhere

Always a great feeling, even if you're expecting it to pass 👍

I've only had the car 6 months so it just feels as if I know it a little better.
It's not going to bite me on the bum bum...yet.

Went for my first proper Italian tuneup for the first time in ages today and sport SB9 ... damn these are good cars....all fluids checked and bang on.

Garage coming along nicely and the sun is out.....for a change.

Annual oil change and new coil packs fitted at Zuffenhaus, Birmingham. They also fitted my new wheel nuts too.  A chance to have a good look at the underside of the car while on the ramps. Looks good under there for a 17 year old, very pleased. Even looks like the coolant pipes have been done in the near past - happy days!!!

On the downside a slight leak from the RMS.....that can wait until a new clutch is required.

On my 05 987.1 S it wasn't the RMS leaking even though that's what a independent specialist said it was it was the IMS seals leaking.

Problem is until you remove the gearbox you can't see properly.

I changed them on mine last year and leak free now.

Popped down to my local colourtone and picked up some paint to match the side inlet grills and painted the front bumper inserts and the rear bumper exhaust trim so they all  match. I shall clearcoat them tomorrow.

Rebuilt the plastics around the now repaired ac pipework and refitted the front bumper cover with the minimum amount of fittings as it will be coming off again soon to repaint. I also learned that the cover used to be blue!

Refitted all the wheels getting ready for it being taxed on the 1st so I can road test it.

Clear coated the fog lights and bumper plastics. refitted the under trays and put the car back on it's wheels. torqued up the axle bolts and wheel nuts and started to tidy the garage (a larger task than you might think) to allow the car to get out for it's road test tomorrow.

It did move a foot or two under it's own steam so the clutch works ok (very initially I know!

Have a great weekend all.
