sa utah
I`ve found te Boxsters headlamps to be easier to swap that ANY car I`ve ever owned. Even the tool to do it is already in the car. It`s amazingly simple and it`s all detailed in the handbook!

phazed
Treated the roof with Renovo waterproofer. I have used this many times on my TVRs, a great product and easy to apply. An easy half an hours work max.

Took my brother a morning to change a headlight bulb in his Audi. 😀
Dicky-Art
Spent over an hour trying to get ONE coil rubber extender off! Some come off with the coil very easily whilst some require excessive force to pull against suction. and then there are those that just refuse!! 987RG
Connected a CTEK MXS 5.0 this afternoon to my 987.1 2005, 2.7. Only had the car a couple of weeks and not planning to use for a couple of months.

phazed
Put the baby away for a short while under a bit of cloth that Mrs phazed purloined. Not driving it for a bit as my time nas been kidnapped by No3 son to work on his first house. I feel the itch to look into engine tuning. Can anyone point me in the right direction of any threads or information that might be useful. There could be a long winter ahead!
Menoporsche
Throttle bodies, plenums and exhaust manifold usually. But you have an RS60 which already has extra horses. Expect to spend a lot of money for very little gain.
phazed
Aha! I see. Do you know what my car has that is different from a standard 3.4 S? I must say, it does go very well.
Mattman42
New front tyres and 4 wheel alignment - despite 4hrs in the workshop, the steering wheel is off centre, so have to go back next week
red rocket
Fitted my winter wheels ready for the trek to Bicester on Sunday and the Cheddar run next weekend
phazed
2 x new Michelins fitted on the rear today. Picked up a set of pretty new R888s on a set of lobster claw alloys for the occasional track day.as well. Question. Is access to the gearchange linkage from the top, removal of the transmission tunnel top?
phazed
I should add, I want to check the condition of the gearstick bushes as I believe mine has a bit of slack in it.
sa utah
If it feels slack they ARE worn. If you’re going to go to the bother of just looking you may as well have the new part ready to fit There and then.

Hence the question, is access through the top and is there any procedure that I should know about? I believe I read somewhere that some limited edition models have the short shift already fitted. Does anyone know if that applies to my RS 60?
sa utah
I’d hope it already has one but even if it doesn’t you should get one. I have one sat here in the garage ready to fit but it’s too cold and miserable and I don’t like removing anything plastic with things that are likely to break, especially when they are cold. So I’ll wait until it warms up a bit

Resorted to warming up the headlight assembly with a hairdryer when I had to change a bulb recently.

Never can be too careful there.

sa utah
fabsil is the best stuff to use if you want water proofing. milton is the best stuff for cleaning, Renovo is the best dye. based on having many soft top cars over the last 10 years and trying all of the goos, potions and lotions !
