Just spent the morning with Chis and Pete at Centre Gravity, to say the way my car drives now would be a understatement!! Totally transformed it. It was basically crabbing down the road before, so much for Chimp fit and there Hunter alignment, trust me money well spent.

Set up

This is the set up now

Why is it out on front caster @bally4563, and rear camber? I didn’t realise caster was even adjustable.

Caster isn't adjustable on the standard suspension set up.  Most prints I've seen of Boxster tracking on here have it just outside factory tolerance which is slightly odd as you'd ahve thought the factory would put it in the middle of the range.

The guy who did mine after I fitted new Spyder toe links and coffin arms spent almost 20 minutes working on the rear to get all four toe and camber setting within the green ranges and symmetrical.

I’ve just checked my print out and all measurements were in the green too, with tiny asymmetry e.g. front caster 7.44 left and 7.40 right. That’s with Spyder components.

Mine is for non PASM, but @bally4563 is for PASM, so maybe that makes a difference?

I have bought a little "temporary non-dash cam, cam" for on holiday next month.

I don't fancy having an actual dash cam but for my trip to Italy & Switerland next month I wanted something that could take photo's of nice scenery whilst driving without the wife constantly having to get her phone out.

So I've bought a new one of these 'fake' go pro camera's, I've had an older model that I use for underwater swimming/diving on holiday and have taken some great photo's with that, and this one is better so looking forward to using it in the sea.

But then I thought, as it comes with loads of attachments and a remote control why not set it up behind the windscreen and just activate it on the mountains in Switzerland and then took photo's using the remote control whenever I fancy.

It's sitting behind the mirror and it's not in the way, and whenever I don't use it it's easily removed.

The remote control sits within reach near the steering wheel and is attached via a bit of Velcro :

Still need to have a little play with all the settings etc, but on first go it seems to do just what I want it do, without the need of having to hardwire in a dashcam.  I just press the little red button and it takes an instant photo.

And now it's time to pack the car and drive over to Southampton.

Fingers crossed for some decent weather tomorrow at Bealieu!

Just research Swiss laws on photos of folks , the gen public without consent .They might get arsey with you if caught and plant a data protection breach on you if you get stopped and they “ go through “ the car .

How ever having said that the cops do accept ( turn a blind eye - to data protection laws - no pun intended) to footage if it helps them crack a crime .

Depends what mood you get them in .

Go pro ers have been successfully prosecuted by innocent bystanders seeing them self on U tube in the back ground …filmed without consent you see .

Finally got around to upgrading the head unit, opted for a Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB.

Removing the old CDR30 was a pain, other than that it was a real easy install, helped by an Incartec kit & plenty of space for wires.

Very happy with the results & pleasantly surprised by the improvement in sound quality from the standard speakers.

I had mine MOT'd, no issues. MOT'ing is quite nice now. They invite you to the inspection hall, talk you through the process and give you valuable information about the state of your car. This guy had worked for a car dealer, knew many Porsche things (for example the empty battery and bonnet opening issue). I also got to take a good look under the car, all plastic looking fine and well attached and no leaks.
